The roles our community members can play are the following (some community members play more than one role):
What does it mean to play these roles?
Contributor (Advisor)
An individual who offers support and guidance to strengthen our mission, normally on a request-only basis.
Contributor (Speaker)
An individual who delivers inspiring and informative talks at our community events.
Contributor (Advocate)
An individual who has shared their network with us and has introduced us to at least one potential community member or corporate partner.
Contributor (Presenter)
An individual who delivers interactive workshops as part of our programmes.
Contributor (Mentor)
An individual who delivers mentoring to diverse professionals in our community.
Mentee
An diverse professional who receives mentoring from our community of mentors.
Programme Participant
An individual who participates on and is a beneficiary of our Programmes.
Alumnus
An individual who has successfully completed a programme.
Candidate
An individual who potentially possess the relevant experience and skills for the roles we have on offer.
Employee
An individual who is employed by Journi or Day One, our partner organisation.
Board Member
An individual who is appointed to the Board of Directors. They have legal and fiduciary governance responsibility and connects us with people who can advance our mission.
